George Mason University has authorized Parchment, Inc. to provide official transcripts in electronic or paper format. Ordering your official transcripts through Parchment provides you with the most efficient and convenient method of ordering transcripts online. All official transcript orders will need to be placed online through Patriot Web or the Parchment portal.

Conditions for Issuance of Transcripts

The University issues a transcript reflecting the complete academic student record. Continuing Education credits, Consortium & Law records will not be reflected on official transcripts.

Transcripts are NOT available for pick-up at this time. Transcripts may not be faxed.
Transcripts issued will contain the student’s complete Mason record. Partial transcripts are not offered at this time.

As of July 1, 2024, George Mason University does not withhold student transcripts as a result of an outstanding financial balance. Students with an outstanding balance should contact the Student Accounts Office to resolve their balance.

Transcript Process Times and Fees

Transcripts must be paid by credit card at the time of order. Parchment accepts Visa, MasterCard, and Discover.

Electronic Official Transcripts are sent securely through email and will be available for download by the recipient for a period of 7 days . Please verify that the recipient information you provide is correct before submitting your request, as refunds will not be provided for expired downloads or transcripts sent to the wrong recipient.
